Rapid Access Surgical Appointments
If you’ve recently attended an emergency department, been diagnosed with a condition that may require surgery, or been advised to arrange a private surgical review, Dr Roshan Ariyaratnam offers rapid access consultations for suitable patients.
Most patients can be offered a surgical review within one week of referral, depending on clinical circumstances and appointment availability.
Need to See a Surgeon Soon?
Finding the right surgeon can feel difficult when you have recently been discharged from hospital or have been told that further surgical assessment may be required.
Rapid access appointments are designed for patients who have already been assessed and need timely review by a general surgeon. This may include patients who:

- Have been diagnosed with gallstones or another gallbladder condition
- Have been advised to arrange an appointment with a private surgeon
- Are experiencing recurring symptoms following a hospital presentation
- Require follow-up for an appendix-related condition
- Already have scans, test results or a hospital discharge summary
If you are unsure whether a rapid access appointment is appropriate for your circumstances, contact the practice to discuss your situation.
